In fact, I saw, because I heard of people who drink too much water to drown, and I think you will find this very interesting ...

Drinking too much water can lead to a condition called water intoxication, and a problem from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia. Water intoxication is seen most frequently in children under six months, and sometimes in athletes. A baby can get water intoxication as a result of drinking a few bottles of water per day and drink formula, which has thinned too much. Athletes can also suffer from water intoxication. Athletes sweat heavily, losing water and electrolytes. Water intoxication and hyponatremia result when a person drinks too much water, dehydrated, without the accompanying electrolytes.

Drowning occurs when water enters the lungs. Thus, while beer consumption does not appear straight tube into the stomach, choking.

A baby can drink too much water. Do not drown, the water is poisoned. Giving a baby changing excessive amounts of water can not remove the salt balance in the blood and the kidneys water fast enough.

Water intoxication can occur in adults, and whether drinking too much water from them, like drinking literally gallons.

You can search the Web for water intoxication is rare but it happens.

I have no idea where his friend had made false declarations. Drinking water is good for children, unless they are in bed with a bottle of their own. You can not drown ", but it could suffocate in your sleep with the outflow of fluid. Of course it can happen with any liquid, not just water.

What more should drown in danger when they drink water when you drink juice or a formula for this case? That is absolutely ridiculous. Water is good for all living beings. It is a good idea to accustom your children to drinking water syrupy soft drinks as young as possible.

It is not something to drink to drown.

A baby vomit May and suck (suck into the breathing tube), most of what they drink. In some cases, the winds of the fluid in the windpipe "wrong pipe" when they drink. These include water or formula. In most cases, the cough out.

I'm an RN.
